week one of 'get your paint on'. an online painting class given by two artists, lisa congdon and mati mcdonough. the prompt this week is gee's bend quilts. i saw a downsized version of the original exhibit, still amazing, and have checked the book out of the library a thousand x.but, when i painted my piece i looked at a book of amish quilts in the esprit collection, amish, the art of the quilt
my painting was a response to a palette used on one of the quilts and then everything else that is running around in my head took over!!!
